Double Play tops
The Double Play Top consists of two individual tops that precisely
nest inside each other to create a single top of the classical top shape.
When the complete top is thrown, it splits apart and each individual
top spins on it's own. The Double Play is a very special top. There
have been other two-part tops in the past, but none are as well balanced.
The Double Play Top is very similar to the old wooden Duncan Twin Spin
top. The Double Play can be created from almost any hard wood. The Double
Play can be produced in any color combination. Contrasting colored woods
